The Pastel Eyeshadow Trend

Hey Glamsquad, have you been experimenting with the latest colorful eye makeup trend?  I know over the last few weeks, I have been watching and trying out different looks that can be complimentary.  Multicolored matte, shimmers eyeshadows blended nicely and have been a favorite look lately.    Everywhere you go you see these looks whether on celebrities, sephora, or on Instagram. The pastel lid is in honey, and we are here for it.

Pastel hues remind me of a rainbow, and are the perfect array of  diffused colors. Even the most natural no-makeup lover loves this look.  It is such a happy look giving us good vibes, and it instantly brightens you day.  I hope to see this vibe into next year, and I believe it is here to stay.  The most popular shades of this trend hands down is mint, pink, and lavender.  If you are wondering how to pull off this look, don’t worry it is one of the easiest looks to wear.

You do not have to be a pro to pull this off, it is nothing more than applying a simple wash of diffused colors- or one wash of a single color.  The choice is yours.

1.  Don’t be afraid to mix pastel shades.
2. Color your inner eye area.
3. Layer shimmers on top of mattes.
4. Use deeper shades to give a cut crease effect- or use a lighter shade to make them pop. 
5. Add the same shades to your water line.
6. You can always add a wing liner to define the eye more, and look more sexy.
7. When combining pastel shades, try to think of the colorwheel and the shades will always compliment each other. 
8. Color coordinate your clothes.  Matching is always better.
9. Coordinate with pastel nails.
10. Try pastels in different eyeshadow shapes.
