Ecotools Makeup Brush Review
Hey dolls, it’s a great day because I have some great news to share! Earlier today, I headed to Publix to pick up something for to cook for lunch and dinner and while I was there, I decided to pick up some makeup brushes. Why? Well, because my brushes were done lol.
I have had the same brushes for well over a year, they have been cleaned to no end and the bristles had thinned out so it was just time. Normally, I would have gone to my favorite brand and brought some, but I was kind of desperate and figured how bad could it be right?
One of my followers messaged me and was like, you need some brushes lol. So…after taking some thought, I brought some. I knew it was time anyway, this just reinforced the idea lol. Moving on right. So, there were not many choices in Publix to choose from. I noticed EcoTools, it says on the box number 1 brush set lol. I thought really, well let’s give it a shot, and tell my friends (you) about it.
Here is what I purchased:
EcoTools Six Piece Starter Collection
What I like
This kit really includes a variety of brushes to achieve an everyday face.
How to Use
(5 brushes for an everyday Look)
- Conceal: Use the concealer brush to even out complexion.
- Tame: Comb brows and lashes with Spoolie.
- Define: Line Lines and shape brows with Angled Liner brush.
- Shade: Apply and blend color using the Shading brush.
- Finish: Sweep color onto face with the Powder/Blush brush.
EcoTools Full Powder Powder Brush
What I like
The Full Powder bush is incredibly soft, and with so many bristles (70,000) it evenly distributes and blend the press powders well. With this brush, I set my face with a setting powder and I used a translucent powder and it works so well! I am impressed, no residues left behind at all!
How to Use
- Dab brush in pressed powder, then gently tap off any excess. Blend color onto face using circular motions, starting in the middle of your face and moving towards the hairline.
EcoTools Classic Foundation
This brush works best for liquid and cream foundations for even coverage.
What I like
This foundation brush is designed flat, with dense bristles which makes it pretty easy to apply the foundation it’s so firm!
What I did not like
I still had to use my beauty blender, I know right boo! After applying the foundation with the brush, I had to go back and set the foundation with a beauty blender because there were so many lines. I needed my look to be flawless. Not really such a big negative, to be honest I have not found a brush that I don’t have to use a beauty blender with when using a liquid foundation.
How To Use
Dab flat side of brush in foundation and apply color starting in the middle of the face and work outwards toward the hairline. Try to use short strokes to avoid streaks- but I still had some!
Final look
Overall, I loved the brushes and I will continue to use them. What I should mention:
- Cruelty Free
- Made of Renewable Bamboo
- 100% Vegan
- Beautifully Soft
