Palmers Coconut Oil Formula Review

Hey beauties, I am loving summer hairstyles right now.  I just recently learned how to do a ponytail with natural hair, and I am shook.  You may laugh and say, really?  It takes skill to do this especially when you have type 4b natural hair.  I have tried a few products to create this look, but lately, I have been really successful with Palmers Coconut Oil Formula.  You may think Palmers, like Palmers Cocoa butter?

Yes, that Palmers.  Palmers is known for more than skincare, they also have products specifically formulated for natural hair.  Because my hair is always dry and thirsty for moisture, I like to use a really good product on my hair when wearing protective styles.

Here are the products that I used for my hair.

Palmers Moisture Gro Hairdress- I lightly applied this moisturizer to my scalp; this is great for hydrating the hair and repairing the damage.

Palmers Leave-in Conditioner- moisturizes the hair really well, and smells fresh.  This product is great for detangling and it has an instant slip.

Palmers Coconut Oil Strong Roots Spray– Made with Monoi Oil, Peppermint Oil, and Coconut Oil this product contains ingredients to deeply hydrate and repair damage and give shine to the hair.  It leaves my scalp feeling refreshed, and it strengthens the hair from the root.

Palmers Coconut Oil Curl Styler Cream Pudding- please note a little goes a long way lol.  This product is lightweight, water-based and leaves dry hair softened instantly.  I applied this product to my hair before adding the faux ponytail.

I have also used these products in a twist out that came out nice.  I had to do the look twice because the first time, I used too much product.  The second time around I added a drop to each area before twisting focused on the ends of the hair since it is always the driest for me.

Check out this Instagram post featuring the ponytail and the use of the products.

Have you tried summer looks with your natural hair?  Have you tried Palmers new line? I would recommend Palmers to anyone with tightly coiled hair, that needs moisture.  Remember a little goes a long way, or it will be a fail lol.  Trust me I know.

Thank you for supporting Brownsugarglam, and I will see you all on the next blog post.

I have always been in love with all things beauty. From a little girl I would say that one day I would be a Cosmetologist. I did it, I became a Licensed Cosmetologist in 2006. I have learned so much about how to wear makeup, how to style the hair, and how to maintain the overall health of hair that I decided to create a blog. Being beautiful creates confidence, and flawless hair and makeup can help us all create that image we want to be. I want to help you step out of the box, try new makeup looks, and new hair ideas, new skincare regimens to make life better. You can live colorful, cosmetic, and be creative everyday give them some maxwell house coffee mmm, mmm good, and leave the tea home lol. Enjoy!
