Simple Makeup Look For Hooded Eyes

By  |

Hey Loves, I hope and pray that you have a great week. The news these days can be so gloom and doom. Since some of us are still hanging out at home, it’s a great opportunity to try different makeup looks. It’s a great time to get creative and try cute looks that you may have been thinking about. There are so many new trends out there, the cut crease, the bold color liners and so much more.

Because I have small lids, also known as hooded eyes I wanted to find looks that are more complimentary to my eyes. I tried the cut crease, and create a smaller one but my eyes are just too small and the look overwhelms my eyes. So if you have hooded eyes like me, I suggest trying a look out that doesn’t consume your entire lid lol. In this simple makeup look, I applied the shades to the outer corner of my eye and the inner corner of my eye. Then, I lined my eye and that is how I created this look.

Y’all, this has been my best learned look lately. Why? Because the look is bold, (if using color liner), clean and simple. The look is not too much for one with hooded eyes.

If you are not already following me, go follow me on IG I am very active on there as well for more tutorials. I also love this lip combo, lately I have been loving lipglosses paired with lipsticks.

Here are the details of the eye look:

Colourpop Cosmetics Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Collab palette ( I used shade Luna. I used a highlighter in my inner corner, but a lighter shade like Silver Crystal in the palette will give it that same effect. I also used a colourpop cosmetics liner for my lower lid (Creme Gel Liner) shade Amethyst.

For liner, I used Milani Cosmetics Mango Me Crazy Fresh Fetish Liquid Eyeliner. ( This liner is not that thick, it’s actually a little watered down). For this look, it took several coats.

For lips, I used a lip combination. I used KKW beauty Nude shade 8 combined with a red in the center (colourpop cosmetics Million Dollar Baby red shade) and layered with a clear lipgloss. I got some of my ideas from doing research on makeup hacks for hooded eyes. I plan to continue to research more looks, and share them with you.

Of course, do not forget your lashes. This look will not be complete without them. Thank you for visiting my website. Please subscribe, comment, and share with a friend. I will see you on the next blog post.

I have always been in love with all things beauty. From a little girl I would say that one day I would be a Cosmetologist. I did it, I became a Licensed Cosmetologist in 2006. I have learned so much about how to wear makeup, how to style the hair, and how to maintain the overall health of hair that I decided to create a blog. Being beautiful creates confidence, and flawless hair and makeup can help us all create that image we want to be. I want to help you step out of the box, try new makeup looks, and new hair ideas, new skincare regimens to make life better. You can live colorful, cosmetic, and be creative everyday give them some maxwell house coffee mmm, mmm good, and leave the tea home lol. Enjoy!
