Winter Curls With Sally Beauty
To me, it is so amazing how different products create a different look in the hair. That is why I am always open to trying out various products just to see how my hair will come out. I always say that naturally, curly hair is tricky because it really is. What works on your curly hair may not work on someone else hair. It is important to use the right product for your texture of hair, that is usually a great place to start.
Today, I tried out a few products for thick, coily hair which is the perfect fit for me. I wanted to take a moment to share the different products with you. I am doing something different today too, I am mixing three different products from different product lines.
I know this sounds worrisome but, I usually try the products on my hand to see if they mix well. If there is no flaking, and it dries together well usually there will be no issue with mixing the products. This is a trick that I learned somewhere on IG some months back.
My favorite hairstyle lately has been the top knot with the flat twist and Bantu knots on the ends. I find it so hard to get away from this style because I just love the finished look. It does the most for the most basic styles!
Here are the products that I used today.
Carols Daughter Coco Creme Curl Quenching Shampoo– this shampoo is great for dry thirsty hair. I only shampooed my hair once with this product because I just shampooed my hair about three days prior. I do not usually overly shampoo my hair, but I was experimenting in so many products this weekend that I had to. My hair was hydrated and my curls were not frizzy with this shampoo. My hair felt very soft.
Next, I used TXTR by Cantu which is a line that I have never tried before. I was so impressed with this Leave in conditioner. It can be used as both a leave-in or a rinse out conditioner either will do. I did use this one as a leave-in, and the product dissolved in my hair quickly and left my hair feeling so good! I love a good leave in conditioner, it is a must for curls. It smells so good!
Finally, for my styling agent, I tried Eden BodyWorks Hydration Custard. This is a thick custard, specifically for thick, coily curls. A little goes a long way. I used a little on the ends of my hair and then flat twisted securing a Bantu knot on the end.
I love the result of my hair. It feels smooth, soft, and it is full of body! At night, I will sleep with my hair in four ponytails (pineapples), this way my hairstyle last through tomorrow. This is the challenge. So the next time you are in Sally Beauty, check these products out you will be so happy that you did. I will see all of you on the next blog post.
